TOTTENHAM are closing in on their next manager after Daniel Levy reportedly narrowed down his search to Luis Enrique and Arne Slott.
Spurs are looking for a new manager after sacking Antonio Conte in March.
Ryan Mason is now at the helm on an interim basis, but Levy appears to be close to finding a permanent successor.
The club assured he is not the number one choice as Levy is keen on both Enrique and Slott, according to Daily Mail.
The chairman reportedly plans to hold talks with the two in the coming days.
Spurs first registered an interest in Enrique last month and the Spaniard would arrive with a wealth of experience, unlike Slott.
He has managed Barcelona, Roma and Spain but is likely to be the more expensive option of the two.
Slott, 44, led Feyenoord to the Eredivisie title this year and also enjoyed success with AZ.
Feyenoord are desperate to keep him and are believed to be ready to offer him a new contract worth £2.5m a year.
And if Spurs decide to sign Slott, the Dutch club will demand £6m in compensation.
Enrique will arrive without that cost as he is unemployed, but Levy may opt for Slot’s attacking philosophy.
Tottenham are believed to want to settle on their number one choice within the next two weeks.
Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glassner and Mauricio Pochettino have also been linked with the job but look unlikely to join, with the latter having opted for Chelsea.
