Rangers latest transfer as Abdallah Sima 'closes' loan move from Brighton

Rangers are closing in on a season-long loan deal for Brighton striker Abdallah Sima.

The winger is no stranger to Michael Beale having caught his eye a few years ago during a Europa League clash with Slavia Prague and Mail on Sunday report that the 22-year-old has been made available by Roberto De Zerbi with the Light Blues the frontrunners to secure a deal for his services.

The Ibrox boss is confident Sima can regain his best form in Glasgow after suffering a bit of a setback following his move to the Seagulls. He has had previous loan moves but they have not worked out as planned.

It has already been a busy summer for the Rangers man as he continues to revamp his squad in a bid to reclaim domestic dominance from Celtic and win it in the Champions League as they look for another campaign in the group stages.

Four new faces are already in the door in Sam Lammers, Kieran Dowell, Dujon Stirling and Jack Butland.

A host of names left after contracts expired, including a number of fringe men expected to follow.

Beale is eager to add to his attacking reinforcements while he is reported to remain in the market for a left-sided centre-back.
