DC is creating their new Superman, Lois Lane

After months of auditions and screen tests and so many rumors, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios have officially cast their new Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane.

David Korensuet (“Hollywood,” “Pearl”) is set to play Superman, while Rachel Brosnahan (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) will play Lois Lane in James Gunn’s “Superman: Legacy.”

The two were among several chosen to test for two days in front of DC co-chairs Peter Safran and Gunn in full costume and makeup for the roles.

Each actor had test deals that expired after two work weeks, meaning the decision had to be announced ahead of a potential SAG-AFTRA strike looming this Saturday.

With both roles already locked in, Gunn will be looking to cast Superman’s arch nemesis Lex Luthor and Clark’s friend Jimmy Olsen. Gunn is also said to be “miles and miles” away from being chosen as the new Batman.

Gunn will direct Superman: Legacy from his script, with the film set for a worldwide release on July 11, 2025.
