Declan Rice has continued to spark uncertainty over exactly where he will be next season after the West Ham captain revealed his next move to a young fan in a viral clip on social media. After leading the Hammers to Conference Europe League glory, the expectation is that Rice is now moving on to pastures new.
In the video, the 24-year-old was asked where his ideal next club would be, to which he replied: “Nowhere, I’m West Ham.” He repeated this when pressed further. “I don’t (want to move), West Ham is my (club),” he replied when asked again.
Although there is no set date of its capture, Tik Tok user Virajplays4 claims it was on Saturday. football.london is understood to have a strong bid lined up for the England star, with other reports suggesting £92m ($115m) would see the Hammers part ways with their star.
football.london says: Rice has been nothing but loyal to West Ham throughout. They offered him a path to professional football when others closed the door on him and so he was never likely to hold them to ransom or push for a move.
His words last week were emotional and in favor of staying in east London but the money talks and West Ham seem to be in control of his future which is good but David Sullivan’s comments would look very strange if he doesn’t move and that’s seems like the perfect time to go.
Rice is too good to say he will be leaving any time soon and it must be a controversial time as he loves the club but also knows how much he is capable of achieving more from another side. It’s hard to call.
Raphinha Price Tag Set
Arsenal are said to be keen on swooping for Barcelona winger Rafinha after showing extreme interest in the Brazilian last summer. He was close to a move to north London before Chelsea swooped in to make a bigger offer, and then Barcelona took him anyway.
spanish publication, sport, now say the Catalan side would be willing to keep him on his contract for just one season in order to balance their finances and potentially open up other receipts. With a reported £68m ($85m) asking price, that’s more than Juan Laporta parted with this Leeds signing.
football.london says: Barcelona are up to their old tricks again, aren’t they? Rafinha was one of the biggest transfer sagas last summer and to be honest, after not only turning down Arsenal after all, but then Chelsea, one has to question whether he knows what he wants or is committed with something.
Mikel Arteta wants a cohesive group without personalities and Rafinha doesn’t seem to fit that bill. With the need for a new midfielder, much stronger than another winger, this is not something we can see being pursued too seriously, even if he is admired as a player.
