The Black Cats want to strengthen their relationship with United
After the successful loan signing of Amad Diallo last season, Tony Mowbray knows loan signings could be key for Sunderland in the season ahead.
The manager hopes to continue working closely with Manchester United to offer his young stars somewhere to ply their trade.
“I hope we can keep a close relationship with United if they have to loan out young players.
“It’s amazing really, I’ve been in management for a long time, as you said, and even people like Joe Rothwell, who I had at Blackburn, came through the ranks at United.
“When I’m looking for players I always look to see where they come from, where they’ve been brought up and the core values of what’s involved with their football brain.
“You never really get on with Manchester United players, whether they’ve made it at first-team level or not, because generally they’re all brought up right.”
Inter star plays down transfer rumours
Denzil Dumfries has played down reports suggesting a summer move to the Premier League.
Manchester United are one of the clubs linked with the Dutch international as they continue to look for a right-back.
Dumfries said: “When we get back together, despite this defeat, we will be hungry for a win next season.
“What if I stay at Inter? Yes, I am currently staying at Inter.
Qatar’s takeover could spur a landmark signing
If Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani’s takeover of Man United is successful, reports suggest PSG will be keen to sell Kylian Mbappe to the Red Devils.
Although Mbappe has said he is happy to see out his contract in Paris, the club would prefer to sell the player for £173m rather than see him leave for next summer.
If the Qatari takeover happens, it will be a declaration signed by the new owners.
Tottenham’s interest is genuine
The north London club’s interest in Jaden Sancho is a move they are seriously considering this summer.
While many are saying this is likely to be some form of swap deal involving Kane, that shouldn’t be on Tottenham’s mind at all.
The only stumbling block is that they will be in no rush to complete a deal as they consider their strategy this summer under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
